Scavenger Hunt Sunday

I am patting myself on the back this week because I managed to get all of the SHS prompts done by Thursday.   Of course I was motivated because I wanted to get a lot of use out of the week long rental of that Tamron 28-70mm 2.8f lens.  I really liked the lens, but I am going to date a few other lenses on my list before I invite a new one into my camera bag.

Here is what I captured this week!

1. Travel
The train station just after rush hour traffic.  Everyone had just left to catch the evening coaster and trolley and I was left with the beautiful late afternoon sun and an empty station.

2. Silly
I think the girls only tolerate the normal posed group shot just so that they can hurry up and get to the silly shot.
3. Black and White
This shot just sings to me.  I absolutely love everything about it, especially how the high contrast makes the sequins on her costume sparkle.

4. Spots
I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for spots because this was probably the most challenging for me.  Can you spot the spots?

5. Paper
These are my most favorite garlands.  They are so fun and festive.  Of course these ones are for outdoors so they are actually plastic.....but they do come in paper.  That counts right?

If you love photography and want to challenge yourself each week come and join Ashley and her gang over at Ramblings and Photo's for the Sunday Scavenger Hunt.  It is a lot of fun and the community of photographers is awesome!

Hi Michelle! So glad I met you through SITS - and that you are a San Diego blogger! I recognize the downtown train and trolley stations, and I covet those plastic 'papel' picadors. I'm subscribing right now, and you will get some email from me soon.

Your photos are beautiful. I especially love the first one of the empty train station; it's kind of magical -- full of positibilities.

Thanks for sharing. Stopping by from SITS.

My fave is definitely the one where they're in a circle. That is the coolest!

Oh wow...FANTASTIC set! I ADORE that black and white shot. Actually, I JUST got home from a dance recital myself so I am "feeling" this capture. And I am AMAZED at the peaceful feeling that train station shot evokes!

Your silly shot and back and white are my favorites out of a group and excellent pictures. Enjoy the 28-70; I have one that is my usual go-to lens.

It was hard to pick my Top 2 favorites but I'm going with Travel and the B/W shot. Silly came in a close 3rd.
