Photo Story Friday - I Vant To Suck Your Blood!

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

My little Bee has always been something sweet for Halloween. So you can imagine my surprise when two years ago my sweet 7 year old asked if she could be a "scary" vampire. I really wanted her to continue on the sweet costume track but she had made up her mind.

I'm not much of a make up artist but she was quite pleased with her new vampire look! This picture is of her trying to look scary.

I don't know what it is about the shot, but whenever I see it I laugh out loud. I hope her scary appearance doesn't give you nightmares tonight? Mawhahaha!

***************************************
Speaking of scary..........what is the scariest Horror flick you have ever watched?  For me, it is the Exorcist.  I was around 13 and my BFF and I stayed up super late to watch it on HBO.  That movie scared the crap out of me.  I had nightmares about Linda Blair for years after that.  To this day I can not even watch commercials for the Exorcist.  It gives me the chills even writing about it.

On that note, Happy Halloween and Happy Photo Story Friday!

That picture is perfect! I was VERY scared.
And the Exorcist, followed that night by a freak lightning and SNOW storm. That did it.

I don't really like to be scared so I avoid those types of movies!

This is going to sound so stupid but Jaws totally freaked me out. It was totally ridiculous because there are no sharks anywhere close to where I waterski(Upper Mississippi River) but that was all I could think of when I saw the waterskiing scene. And for years afterwards whenever I would fall while skiing, it popped right back into my head. I know, I am such a dork, especially since I love horror movies. I was a huge Freddy Kreuger/Nightmare on Elm Street fan as a kid.

My daughter has that same costume!

Ever seen the Omega Man? 70's Charlton Heston flick. Scares the ba-geezers outta me. I hate the dark because of it.

The first movie I was every scared by was the black and white The Slime on Saturday afternoon tv. I wouldn't ride elevators for a while because of those 70's disaster flicks. But the last scary movie I saw as an adult was Silence of the Lambs. I had nightmares about that movie for years! That was when I swore off scary movies!!

I love it- she looks gorgeous (in a scary mysterious way :))Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the orignal) scared the pants off of me-I can never listen to the sound of a chainsaw the same way again!!!

Great costume--- My son wanted to do the scary vampire thing this year too.... unfortunately the boys will be with their dad and I won't get to see the full costume... :(

Anyway, 2 of my all-time scariest movies: Salem's Lot (as a 5 year old, I was terrified when the little boy vampire was tapping on the window with his finger nails...
and
The Shining: Hereeeee's Johhny!!

Great costumes! The Shining was pretty creepy and Poltergeist. I'm not really a scary movie type of gal! Happy Halloween!

No nightmares for me, sorry! She is way too scary cute for that!!! But if you need to, you can tell her that I was terrified...

As for movies, I don't normally do the whole horror flick thing, but I'd have to say The Shining. Those darn twin girls in the hall freak me out!!!

No matter the costume, she will always be sweet! The scariest movie I have ever seen is The Ring! And it's not even that scary, but the way she crawled thru the TV gave me nightmares for weeks!

I love this shot! I posted about my little vampire a few days ago. With Twilight all the rage these days, it is a fun thing to dress up as :).

Happy Halloween!

I love the costume, the makeup, and her "scary" face. I'm sure it's bittersweet seeing your little girl not be cute for Halloween.

Great costume. She is still so cute! Don't like scary movies but liked The Haunting and The Others.

I'm not big into dressing kids up in scary things, but I must say your daughter pulled it off really well :) Scary was cute!

I do NOT like scary movies. I watched The Strangers last week with my husband, and it scared the crap out of me. I wasn't right for days. I try to avoid them at all costs.

Your daughter looks great! I had the same experience with my daughter...it started last year (when she was 7).
Can you believe I've never seen the Exorcist. But when I was young I watched Poltergeist. I was never the same. I'm sure if I watched it now-a-days I'd think it was cheesy. But back then it was super-scary!

I love it, her makeup was very good.

The Ring really scared me the first time I watched it. When I was a kid there was a movie I loved that was so scarym but don't know the name of it. It was very old.

A great picture to show her date before senior prom. Or better yet, her children some day. She definitely has a scary gene, which must have come from her dad??? :>ยบ
