Success!

Our Elementary schools 30th annual Holiday craft fair is finally O-V-E-R!

After three years of chairing/co-chairing the event and many more years of either volunteering or being a committee member I can finally close the book on our schools second largest fundraiser.  Since my daughter is going to middle school next year I am closing this book F-O-R-E-V-E-R and it feels G-O-O-D!

I have to pat myself on the back just a bit because several of the changes that I have made over the years have resulted in an increase in income and the over all success of the craft fair. Of course I can't take all of the credit, because there are a lot of people who helped make those changes happen.

It is going to be so much fun next year when the first Saturday in November rolls around and I can finally go back to attending the craft fair as a shopper!  I'm really looking forward to that.

Even though my shopping time consisted of quickly rushing past the various booths, I did manage to stop long enough to buy a few cute things.  This is the show a tell portion of my post!

I bought this funky wind chime!

And this cool batik t-shirt!

Is anyone sick of seeing kids in their Halloween costumes? No?  That's good, because what kind of blogging mom would I be if I didn't post a few Halloween pictures?
What I can say.......she is a teenager!

This would be the Bee trying to control the teenage beastie!  :)

Happy Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

~Michelle

*PS:  The girls both have blue and pink Spike hair color.  It's not actual hair dye.  I should have taken a picture of how stiff the strands were.  You literally could have taken and eye out with them.  And, no my teen never ever dresses like that in real life, but the ipod is a constant accessory.

Glad you have closed that chapter in your life! I, on the other hand, am just beginning all of that volunteering junk! The things we do for our kids. :)

Oh, that chime is completely adorable!

You should be very proud of yourself, that you daughter only DRESSED like that for Halloween, and doesn't dress like that every day! She must have a good head on her shoulders and a good Mama too!

Ahhhh....I know it feels so good when a commitment like that is over.

Before I read the post I didn't know that picture was of a halloween costume :) She looks very much like some teens I see on a normal day!

And I LOVE that wind chime! I've seen wind chimes with spoons and forks, but never with a teapot on top.

Ahhh! I am so embarrassed. I am replying to a comment you just left on my blog. I actually deleted that comment about words that make me giggle because I thought, what if someone actually figures out what I mean by that????

Ooo you found some CUTE stuff! Love the wind chime ;)

Your teenager look VERY different from the picture on the sidebar! She even looks different from the pictures you posted of her on the opening of Target! Did she dye her hair permanently or just for Halloween? She's cute and of course I love the 'tude ;) Fun costumes, both!

That wind chime is outstanding. I would have bought that in a heartbeat.
She couldn't be anything other than a teenager.
