Ok, I seriously took the easy way out of this weeks writing assignment! But hey, cut a girl some slack. The ginormous fundraiser I am chairing is this Saturday and I am feeling a little brain dead right now. It is actually rather amazing I was able to pull anything out of my hat today!
So here we go.....I'm going David Letterman on you all and pulling out the Top Ten Words that make me giggle!
Warning a few are naughty.
fart
diphthong
flange
nincompoop
dickweed
rat bastard
persnickety
What words make you giggle?
Come on, don't let Hell freeze over before you head over to Kat's pad to see what everyone else has to say!

Ok, I had such a scary senior moment today! You know how when you have a lot on your mind you can end up driving on auto pilot? Then all of a sudden you realize, holy cow......I don't remember getting here!!!
Well, I had one of those moments today, but it involved me walking out of Costco and realizing that I had absolutely no idea where I had parked. For a split second I felt a wave of panic rush over me. How in the world could I not remember where I parked? It took a few seconds for me to remember that I scored a great end spot the minute I drove into the lot (no vulture circling for me).
Phew, I was a little worried that one of the many delicious samples I ate in Costco had caused a sudden case of dementia to set in! That would really suck, because munching on free samples is one of the best parts of shopping at Costco.
Happy Thursday........I can see the weekend from here!

love the 10 giggle words...I did giggle, by the way. ;-)
Ok ok...you get by easy this week. ;)
I don't know WHAT was up with mr. linky. You might have to re-link yourself. I think I accidentally copied and pasted last weeks list. It's fixed now...go link up...and be careful in Costco, those samplers will get you every time.
Don't you hate it when your driving and then you realize you don't remember how you got to where you are? I hate that. I never do it though. Nope. Not me.
I loved the list! Please though, explain to me what your number one word means!
great words, they made me laugh too! I may have to look one of them up though!
Your words made me giggle! My personal favorites are rat bastard (seriously, great words!) and dickweed, probably because I can use those when I'm frustrated.
Costco's parking is always crazy! Congrats on your good spot! I walk out of there all the time and stand on the side for a second having to think where I parked..hmm maybe it is the samples!
Too Funny!!! Another word that makes me giggle is duty. I seriously laugh when every anyone says duty. I'm such an adult.
Great Post!!!
I'm a fan of persnickety too...and flabbergasted and skiwompus are on my list. Great post! =)
Those words make me giggle too! Hope you have a great weekend!
*giggles* i am right there with ya! i am soooo mature like that!
I giggled too! I can't believe you used dickweed!! GB!!
LOL!
Oh and the forgetting where you park? I think that just comes with being a mom...I do it all the time. Not much else is more embarrassing than standing in the middle of the parking lot with a lost look on your face ;)
I've been having those moments for since my first kid at the age of 24 so I know just how you feel. It's the kids!!
Many words make me giggle on a daily basis. Your list did not disappoint!
What does it say about me that I almost always lose my car in the parking lot! AHH!
My words are...
Archipelago
runt
snippet
and some of yours!
Your kids are lovely!
Your Letterman words were funny!
I've totally done that "Don't remember where I parked" thing.
Does that mean I'm getting old?
*giggle* that was cute. I'm 25 and I have senior moments like those all the time ;-)
Great list.... you know I've always thought flange was a weird, silly sounding word!!
My 4 year old daughter said a word that made me giggle. She called her brother a butthead and I said "No, no, thats a yucky word. You don't say that". She looked at me, smiled, and looked at her brother and said "Your a hineyhead!" I couldn't help but laugh at that one.
I giggles at each and every word and the sign totally put me over the edge.
Love the ten words--I'm trying to think of ones that make me laugh but I can't think of any! Fart makes me laugh pretty good! :)
OMG!! You are so funny!! I too drive on auto-pilot ALL THE TIME!! How the heck did I just get here. Yep, that's me all the time. Thanksfully it's when I'm driving by myself and not with my little one in the car. ;o)
Oh, and yes...love Costco tasters!!!!
Great read!!
LOL!! All those words make me giggle too! :)
def nincompoop...and doo-hickey! and i don't even know how to spell it!
I used to love this saying of his from the late 80's
Them Bats are Smart
It is even my sign on name for YaHoo
I'm so bummed. I looked up Bufadora and discovered it was near Ensenada. About ten years ago I was in Ensenada (the only time in my lifetime I think...) and we didn't see Bufadora. So sad.
Ferkrimpt... mulish... jism...pony up...euthanasia (Youth in Asia) and anything else out of David Sedaris' mouth.
this post is so hilarious!
"rat bastard" is the choice term my dad spews if you cut him off in traffic. it always makes me laugh.
Good luck with your fundraiser. your words made me laugh. Flange is my favorite. I've never heard Bufadora. I'll have to google it. :)
I giggled at all of your giggle words.... Fart would have been at the top of my list too..
What an awesome list! I am a huge fan of the word persnickity. Fits me to a tee. My husband was looking at the list and said he'd have to add wiener schnitzel. I'd have to add bat s**t crazy, because that's such a funny expression :)
a) I need to start doing those writing workshops - they sounds so fun and everyones I read are so creative!
b) those moments are not just limited to seniors you know - they have to women who are preggo...and woman who have kids under 5. Trus me on this. I should know....it's bad.
I have tons of senior moments - makes me wonder what will happen once I really am "senior".
Dickweed would be one of my top ten most used words ...but I have to drive in Massachusetts everyday so it's always fitting! Maybe I'll start mixing in a little ratbastard now and then lol. Thanks for the Bufador link...I had no clue what that is. But now that I know it's a blow hole that one might come in handy every now and then too! Thanks for the education...you rock!
