My favorite big city is Chicago. It's big buildings, stores, museums, restaurants, and great public art displays make the city an exciting place to visit.
But what I find really fun is finding displays of guerilla art.
"Killing People is Rude."

I've never seen that and have no clue about guerrilla art. Interesting! I'll have to keep my eyes open next time I'm there!
Now that is interesting : ).
LOL...you'd think it would just be common sense...but it never hurts to remind people!
So rude! Haha.
Well, that's one way to put it!
Interesting concept, guerrilla art. Never heard that term before...
hey when were you here??? I live here?
That's so interesting to hear you say that about Chicago. My hubs was just there and didn't have very nice things to say about it. I still want to visit though - it can't be THAT bad, I mean come on - Oprah broadcasts from there! LOL :-)
LOVE. THAT.
Where did you find that? How interestingly odd. LOL
Happy WW!
What a great "find"
I have seen a piece or two in Seattle, but I hear it is more prolific in NYC and Chicago.
Love it! Great eye to spot that and quick thinking to put it on "film" so to speak (what are we supposed to say now that it's digital?!)
Gorilla ART??
I love the whole murals on the side of buildings that make you wonder.. was that supposed to be there??
and oh how I'm dying to goto Chicago.. I sooo want to see la grande jatte in the art museum there!!
I love Chicago too. It's been just over a year since we went, but even though it was -10 degrees while we were there it was still such fun. This summer we're trying out NYC.
I would say so, too. :)
Hmmmm....at least it's sending a message. I have family out in Chicago and the last time I was there was in my 20's when I drove there with a best friend from NY. Good times.
i love chicago, i love the photograph.
I love Chicago too... I have alot of family there, so we get to go alot!!!
Great pic....yes, killing people is rude!!! :)
Chicago is the best city ever! I'm glad we live so close to it. And yes, I completely agree. Killing people is very rude!
Yes, very rude indeed!
:)
I'd like to see the person who did this art....what would they look like I wonder??
lol, uuummmm....duh!! lol
Fantastic photo! Oh, I'd love to visit Chicago. I've never been there and I'm just a hop, skip and a jump away! (MN)
Your blog is such fun!
That's an understatement!
and it's just that simple :)
Well, they do have a point.
I have to agree, quite rude!
Wow...that photo is....dark!! Bet seeing something like that is interesting....and maybe a tad depressing?
;-)
Do you have more examples? That is fascinating!
That's an understatement. :)
I have never seen anything like that, thanks!
I love me some Chi town too! I go there every July for PC conference... it's clean... beautiful and the river that run upstream... too cool!
LOL, yes it is!
I've been awol from blgging and chating w/ my blogging buddies, sorry! Hope all is wel with you and your family!
XOXO
Love it. I never thought of killing in quite those terms. :)
I think it is the height of insult!
I couldn't agree more. How rude!
It IS rude! And mean!
That's cool, Michelle!
The black and white so suits this image! I love the grittiness to it. And what a good sentiment.
Awesome picture! I love the unexpected things that pop up begging to have their picture taken.
Chicago is on my list of places to visit. I've never been, and it looks so interesting. I don't know if in my head anything will to NYC. That place was like magic to me when I went seven years ago.
