PSF - Whatcha looking at?

Welcome to this weeks addition of Photo Story Friday.

I was so excited when Cecily asked me to co-host with her this week because Photo Story Friday was one of the first meme's I ever participated in! So if you haven't participated before jump on in.....the water is warm (despite what the follow pictures might suggest).

On with the show!

While the peeps whip out their camera's and snap shots of the stormy seas.

(Give us a break.....we don't see weather very often.)

The seagulls stare at us and wonder what in the heck we are doing..............

hanging out at the beach without food for them to steal!

Ever since I saw the movie "Finding Nemo" I can't look at a seagull without imagining them saying, "mine, mine, mine, mine, mine, mine."

I love those photos but I am not sure if I would walk along that brige while the waves are so high

Wow, I'm in awe at how big those waves are in comparison to the pier. Breathtaking. I'm sure it's even more impressive standing there on the beach as you hear the waves roar!

Love the seagulls... and the seagull narration. Very funny! :-D

It makes me laugh that you say you don't see weather very often rather than weather like this. I guess things are pretty consistent in your neck of the woods. :)

I totally agree with you on seagulls! Those birds should thank the makers of Finding Nemo. They made them into a MUCH more likable bird with far more personality than they probably deserve.

Your pics, as always, are fantastic.

Those last two pics of the seagulls are hilarious!!

And those waves...incredible!!

Wow! I loved that third picture! But the Nemo thing had me giggling. Thanks for that. :)

I think I agree with Wayne about staying clear of that bridge.

Great shots.
I had to laugh at the mine mine mine.

Wowzers! Those are quite the waves! I'm still smiling about the "mine, mine, mine." haha! Love Finding Nemo!

Your pictures are so beautiful! Makes me miss the beach. *sigh*

I could handle "weather" if it only dropped by occasionally.

I'm so glad to see you co-hosting this week. This was the meme that launched me as a blogger, I have a great affection for it, and for the friends I've met through it -- including you!

I love those seagulls.

I think those waves are worth looking at. Congrats on your debut as an official hostess! : )

That's one crazy intense storm 'a comin'! You really captured the waves.

lol. Those are some waves! I would have been out there too! Funny gulls!

Wow. Those really are some serious waves.

Is that Mission Beach? I think I recall that Cafe at the end of the pier.

Love the first wave shot! And I think they say "mine mine mine" too!

Hey, Michelle. I enjoyed this about your weather. I have to say it never occurred to me that you don't have "weather very often."

That's weather! Goodness!

Beautiful shots, but those waves scare the crap out of me!! Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine! bwahaha!

Killlashandra said...

Actually I think all birds just think mine mine mine when they see anything that even resembles food. ;) People take pictures of the rain here so I don't blame you for photographing stormy weather one bit.

I so hear the mine mine mine in my head, and then I hear it escape my mouth. There is a bit of a disconnect at times and I don't realize that others might find that weird! Great pictures of the stormy seas.

Great pictures! I love the raw power in the crashing waves. I'm such a beach bum - one of my favorite places in the whole world.

Thanks for co-hosting and for sharing!

Great photos here on your blog. I had to laugh about your comment to the seagulls 'mine, mine, mine' ... I'm sure they are always thinking that when they find something to eat. Here at the german coast they are really greedy.
I like the idea of Photo Story Friday. Maybe I'll join it, too!
Hugs, maike

Michelle,

I've never joined in for this, but I need to! I've always loved these posts. Cecily's photos are awesome too--like yours.

Happy Friday, and I look forward to hopefully having you join in for Talkin About Thursdays next week.

Wow those are some big waves! And I agree about seagulls. And I can't see a clown fish without counting to see how many stripes he has. Three?! Oh that must be Marlin!

I came over from Cecily's blog. Love the pictures of the stormy weather. It's looks like a photographer's dream!

I've looked around here and I'm sure I'll be back. I love all your pictures!

Beautiful pictures of something with such great force! I can't believe that one wave, it's huge! I love the "mine" thing. I swear that's what they are thinking!
Great story this week. I'm slowly working my way up the list this week, but I don't think I'm going to make it all the way through like I usually do. Thanks for stopping by to visit!

your weather has been nuts! I'd be taking pics soon. I hope everyone was safe (sometimes ocean gawkers end up getting sucked to sea!!!)

I would definitely be one of those people taking pics considering I never see the ocean!!!

SO cool that you were the co-host with Cecily, whom I LOVE. Of course it had to be the one week I didn't participate though. :)

LOVE your shots.

Man - those waves are ginormous! :-) And seriously I LOL about the "mine mine mine mine" comment - I say that all the time around here when the kids are being whiney...and then we all laugh. :-)

Rhonda said...

I think my kids are related to seagulls because they say that all of the time too! MINE MINE MINE!
