WW - One Crafty Kid!

When you have a crafty mama you have an endless supply of craft supplies which to have fun with.

The girls were in their rooms hard at work on some crazy creation and I couldn't wait to see what was occupying their time.

Who knew it would be an anorexic voodoo doll!

Wordful Wednesday - What's for breakfast?

Today is the eighth day of summer vacation.  It is also the eighth day in a row that Kate has gotten up and asked me this simple question:

 "Mom, what can I have for breakfast"?

I informed her that between the time they were in school (8 days ago) till today, that our typical breakfast menu has not changed.

You can almost always expect to have the following choices for breakfast:

1. cold cereal

2. pancakes or waffles

3. fruit

4. yogurt

5. toast

6. eggs

You can also expect that if you get up at 10:00 a.m. that the kitchen will be closed and you will need to make your own breakfast!

So please child.......if you want me to maintain my sanity this summer you will refrain from asking me "What can I have for breakfast" every single morning!

Today we attended my husbands swearing in ceremony.

To say we are all extremely proud of him would be an understatement.

You are now where you are supposed to be!

Congratulations my dear.

Wordful Wednesday - Ballerina

This is my Ballerina.

This is my Ballerina's bun.

I used to fear the Ballerina bun.  But not anymore.

I have learned the secret to getting really thick 

hair into a pretty bun.

My secret?  

Wet hair, two braids twisted in opposite directions, 

enough hair spray to cause global warming and no less than 15 bobby pins.

Wordful Wednesday - This is my dog on Crack!

I am putting my Wordful Wednesday post up early because in truth, it should be renamed "Tearful Tuesday."

My dog has a problem. 

A serious problem.

She is addicted to leather shoes.

Lately her "crack" if you will has been Kate's ballet shoes.

Kate is 10 and as a 10 year old she tends to forget to put her "crack" up where the dog can't reach it.

Since September, Xena has destroyed 3 pairs of ballet shoes.

That equals around $105.00! 

That will equal $140.00 when I go out and buy the 4th pair of ballet shoes.

All I can say is that 4th pair better make it past June 16th!

Or else!

So here is to my Tearful Tuesday which is really another addition of Wordful Wednesday!
