PSF - Last minute costume idea

A few years ago I was looking for something different and fun to wear to my daughters Elementary School's Halloween party.

After a quick search on the internet I found an idea that was right up my dog lovin' alley.

Create a shirt for your very own Attack Dog Academy....only you are the cruddy training that has been chewed on one too many times.

You will need an old white shirt (I used a mans button down dress shirt), some scissors, needle and thread, a stuffed dog and sharpie markers in both Red and Black ink.

Take the scissors and cut/tear holes in the shirt so it looks like you have been attacked by your dogs. Use the red sharpie to add blood to the ripped areas.

On the back of the shirt add the name of your Attack Dog Academy.

Of course make sure to identify yourself as a trainer on the front pocket!

Finally, sew a small stuffed dog by the mouth to the edge of the shirt tail or sleeve.

This was so fast and easy to make and the kids thought it was hysterical.

Here are my real life attack dogs practicing on each other!

Another funny quick costume:

Take several Smartie Candy rolls and pin them to your pants.

You are now a Smarty Pants!

Do you have any funny quick and easy costume ideas to share?

what a fun idea, especially for teenagers. If you want to come on by and meet Jack I’m home.

Ha Ha, cute ideas. One of my favorite is "Cereal Killers" Take a plain white shirt cut out a box of cereal like fruit loops and paste it to the front of the shirt, then glue some of the cereal pieces all over the shirt and throw on some blood and you have a Cereal Killers.

Hee Hee! That's funny! I can see why your friends got a good chuckle out of it.

I wrote up a funny Halloween story last week.. And since I've already broken the 'no link rule' at SITS I might as well continue in my rebellious ways...

That is such a hilarious costume idea! I love it. My daughter convinced me to be a vampire with her, but this would have been a lot more fun!
My most creative (yeah right) costume was a "Serial" Killer, you take an empty cereal box and you stick a fake knife in it, and voila! Cereal Killer!
You can also do the same thing with a giant letter b and stick a knife in and you have a "killer Bee"
Another one, you can take a jogging suit and sew leaves all over the entire thing, and add leaves to a ski mask and go as a pile of leaves.
That's just a start, I have some other dumb ones too! Thanks for the fun post, I rather enjoyed it. And thanks so much for stopping by my blog today, I really appreciate it!

what a totally cool idea. it reminds me of a friend who showed up at a medically themed housewarming as a 'car wreck accident victim!'

Cute idea! I totally should have done something like that instead of our group costumes which I am trying to get done before my time is up!

This is such a great idea!!! We were going to dress my son up in a suit/dress pants and sew baby stuffed chicks to him...a chick magnet. Then he was jealous about his sister's new costume, so now he'll be spider-man.

Cute post...thanks for the idea and tutorial!
