Well, happy late Monday evening! I haven't had anytime to blog since Friday! In fact I'm squeezing this in while still sitting around in my workout clothes from this morning!
Last week Lorie over at Be Different Act Normal had these really cute ribbon votive on her blog. I thought they would make great mom Christmas gifts for the Girls in my Troop to make.
Kate is my test kid for every project we do in Girl Scouts. So this weekend we tested out the ribbon votive. Not too hard, but after Kate finished the two sample votive I realized it would be too hard to do as a Troop.
I have to say, considering a 9 year old made these (with some mom help), they turned out really well......especially when you view them from far away. We might just make some more!
The next crafty thing is not my creation, but that of
the Ultimate soccer mom on Kate's team! The picture does not do this fun cake justice. The cake is a soccer field and Shannon cut out action shots of all the girls, mounted them on card stock, then suck them on Popsicle sticks. She even included the team banner and coaches. I just thought it was so darn cute!
Here are my soccer mom friends from Kate's team. This was a few margarita's into the team party! That's me in the middle, the one that looks like the jolly pink giant!
Thanks for stopping by! ~Michelle
