Getting Scrapbooky!

I had sometime today to create a couple of scrapbook pages!
The Cheer pages was done using a Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.
Go to SCS to see Sally's fun sketch.

In case anyone was wondering how I made the Pom Poms:
  1. Cut out a circle to fit the width of the picture, then cut the circle in half.
  2. Using edging scissors, cut skinny strips on the bottom layer of the pom pom.
  3. Cut at an angle as you move around the circle.
  4. For the top layer cut thin strips out of different color paper.
  5. Fold the strips into a "V" and stick them in a fan pattern on a piece of double stick tape to match the pom pom shape.  Trim if necessary.
  6. Next adhere the top layer to the bottom layer.
  7. Cut away the very bottom where all the pieces meet to reduce bulk.
**************************
I often use the same pictures to create a page for each of my daughters books.
I created the first layout and wasn't overly thrilled with it so I headed over
to SCS to find some inspiration.  I found a sketch challenge that was posted
over a year ago.  I really like the way it turned out, except I'm not sure if I am
going to keep the arrow!  Something is just not right about it!

Which one do you like better?

Just found your blog and think it is super fabulous! Woohoo! Your letter to #1 & #2 Boob totally cracked me up!

Oh and I think both scrap layouts look great! (And I'm not just saying that.) :o)

Have a great weekend!

I like the bottom one better. I think it places more emphasis on the photos themselves. Love your layouts!!!

These are so cute, I wish someone would make me a scrapbook!

I love the colors of the top one. They just seem more "christmassy". I do however like the layout of the pictures of the bottom one more. Mix and match, I guess.

You're so talented!

I actually can't decide. The top one looks more christmasy but the bottom one is awfully unique and charming in it's own way. Gosh, I am SUCH a scrapbooking novice. Pretty much all I do is frame pics with diff colored cardstock and add stickers or corners. I have so much to learn. But I'm trying and that's a start!! :)

I really think I like the 2nd design better; I am digging the black background.

How do you make your letters? Do you have a Cricut?

Maybe if you point the arrow to one of you wearing the PJ's?
