Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Every week when I get the new set of scavenger hunt prompts I vow that this will be the week that I don't wait until the following Saturday to start tackling the prompts.  Keeping in mind that I take a picture everyday you would think that I wouldn't have a problem knocking the prompts off early in the week.

Well, it never happens.  I have good intentions but for some reason I always find myself running around town on Saturday looking for interesting items to shoot for the prompt.

This week was no exception.  All of the shots, except for for the last one were were taken today.  But hey, the advantage is that it gave me and Kate something fun to do together.

1. Crossed
Sitting on the sea wall checking out the waves.

2. A Glimpse
A little glimpse of the past. This particular booth sells vintage kitchen items.  They color coordinate their items and it is always such a treat to look at all of their goodies.  One of my treasured vintage kitchen items are my set of pyrex mixing bowls (the yellow, red, green, blue set).  Every time I use them they bring back fond childhood memories of my mom baking for us.

3. Handwritten
This sign in front of the Lazy Hummingbird coffee shop caught my eye because of the silly name of their chai drink.
4. Bliss
Chocolate.........need I say more?
5. Gray
This shot was some what of a happy accident.  I started taking pictures not realizing that I still had my white balance set to tungsten.  The combination of the gray sky and the tungsten white balance created an image that looked black and white.  Sometimes forgetting to check ALL of my settings on my camera is a good thing.

After taking a break last week I am looking forward to what everyone came up with this week.

Cheers!

I have to be very intentional to not have a mixing bowl obsession... :-)
but my fave shot of the week is the grey.
I'm going to go check this week's list...
