I dragged the girls out of the house for Sunday brunch and then a leisure stroll through the neat little shops on Old Town. That would be me peeking over my camera.

I don't know how it is in your world, but I usually spend Monday putting my house back in order. On this particular day I decided I had enough of all of the dust on the shelves and got to cleaning them off. Black furniture sucks when it comes to dust.....there is really no ignoring it.

This is a piece of Rosca de Reyes cake. It is a mexican sweet bread (this one has yummy chocolate on the inside) that is traditionally eaten on January 6th, to honor the day that the three wise men brought gifts to the baby Jesus. There are little plastic baby Jesus' baked inside the bread and if you find one then you are next up to make tamales.

While cruising Pinterest (love that site) we found a tutorial on how to make rings out of Shrinky Dinks. These were our testers. The nicer ones that Kate made she took to school and sold to her friends for $1 (the child is earning spending money for her east coast trip). This is a fun craft, but it isn't the easiest of crafts to master and our rings do not look like the ones in the tutorial I found! Oh and if you haven't been on Pinterest click on the link on my sidebar and check it out. It is a HUGE time suck, but oh my goodness......it is awesome.
Cheers!

That shot of you 3 is fab! I love shrinky dinks and need to try that out! We usually do them a few times a year and the girls get such a kick out of them :) Happy Wednesday!
I am in love with that first photo. I've said it once or twice or more, but I'll say it again: your girls are gorgeous. Was that photo taken looking into a mirror?
Great pictures - I love that first mirror pic!
LOVE that first one- what a fun day!
You have all kinds of beauty there!
I just followed you on Pinterest. I suck at filling out my boards, but I browse!
I'm trying to avoid this Pinterest thing for as long as possible … but more and more people seem to get sucked into it.
I love these -- especially the first one . You should come out from behind the camera sometimes.
And I have some black furniture and it is awful to dust. Ugh.
Great shots!!
Looks like you have had some fun this week. I hate dusting and dark furniture is the worst. It does look really pretty though. :)
Really nice shot of the girls out-to-brunch shot. I'm going to check out the Pinterest link.
