WW - There is always one!

After all of the stray pine needles have been vacuumed up and the ornaments have been stored in there individual compartments (I'm organized like that), I do one last sweep of the house before hubby lugs all of the red and green plastic totes back into the rafters of the garage.

I usually feel pretty satisfied that I have packed up every Christmas decoration as I hand those totes up the ladder to hubby.

I honestly don't know why I ever feel satisfied that I got every last ornament because it is inevitable that right after we put the ladder back that I will find that one stinkin' ornament that missed my eagle eye!

Please tell me this happens to you too?

Are any of your holiday decorations trying to blend into the back ground so they can hang out all year round?  Do tell.

Oh yes it happens here too! :)

You sure make that last lone ornament look stunning, though.

Hope you are well, Michelle!

Oh yes! And then that one single ornament stays hanging somewhere throughout the rest of the year until it's Christmas again and it joins the rest of its family!

Awesome shot!! And I found more than one stray ornament after I'd packed everything away!

I always feel good once the Christmas things are put away for another year.

It might not be an ornament, but I always forget at least one form of decoration! You are not alone. That's a beautiful photo of it though!

I actually limit what I put out in hopes to avoid this. Yup...it happens to everyone! LOL!

You are certainly not the only one. This year I would have left about four ornaments on the tree, but the kids spotted them before I finished. Thank goodness!

How did you do that with the picture? It's very cool.

Good gracious that is a pretty photo - love the textured look and the wintery feel of it...

And yes, we still have a few Christmas stuffed animals out that the boys refused to part with. They may be around all year. Who knows.

Love the edit on this. And I'm happy to say that this is the first year I've gotten all the Christmas decor put away without having to go back and replace a forgotten item...at least, I haven't found one left behind yet!

Yep...always happens. Something in a place you don't usually put stuff.

Love the texture and edits!

This always happens to me too! I found the "Santa" paper that I hid under my bed - Lucky for me, I just have to go down to the basement to put it away....tomorrow!

It totally happens to me. Last year I left out this glass tree with ornaments that's about 8 inches high. It stayed up all year. :)

YES!! Some years its an ornament and other years its a Christmas book. Hubs prefers the year its a book as that can easily go on a kidlet's shelf and its a pound or two that didn't go into the already heavy tubs! :>

Hope your New Year is sparkly as bright at that fun ornament, despite its presence! :>

YES! That happens to me too! UGH! I hate it when that happens! But this particular leftover made a great shot for you and sparked a blog post! So good for you! ;-)

This makes me laugh so much.

I usually box up the ornaments and I'm sure I got them all.

Then I start to take the tree down and yup, you guessed it. There is one LONE ornament, still hanging on the tree!!

Isn't it interesting how life is?

Happy week to you!

we just started taking Christmas down...there are always random items that get stashed somewhere because they missed the attic run! It is always fun to listen to Michael say EVERY year "we cant fit anymore up here, this is it Courtney, Im serious"! As he pushes and pulls up the ladder again :) -Love from AL

My front door wreath tries to hide from me... probably because I am not coming to my own house in the front door!
