I wouldn't consider myself to be a car person. I don't get all excited over new cars. I do however get a little excited when I see old restored cars from the 50's.
I suspect I like cars from that generation because they remind me of my Grandparents. My Grandpa was a car mechanic for Cadillac. So of course they owned their own Cadillac.
I can still remember how little and safe I felt riding in the back seat of that boat of a vehicle. Oh and the sound of the curb feelers as they dragged along the curb announcing my Grandma's arrival will forever be etched in my memory.
Here are a few fun shots of old cars I took during our 17 day cross country road trip.
I think I also like these old cars because I like shiny things and bumpers on old cars are always shiny. Perfect for capturing your reflection.
What do you do with a bunch of old Cadillacs if you live in Texas? Why you buying them in the ground and call them art.
The first shot was taken in Livingston Montana, the second in Williams Arizona and the last two were taken at the Cadillac Ranch somewhere along the I-40 in Texas.

nice, very nice. Just perfect for this week, no?
Oh, very cool! Im glad Im not the only one that found myself in the reflection this week :) Great shots!
I wish I would have known that was in TX when I lived there! Too funny.
Very interesting beautiful captures! Especially the first two. There was something sacrilegious about what they did to the Cadillacs at the Cadillac Ranch though. Thanks for sharing something I never would have seen!
Excellent shots! I love the reflections. And carhenge is awesome. I'd love to see it someday.
Whoa! Crazy (the art, I mean)! Great captures!
Wow--again, the art. I guess if you hvae the room to spare! LOL
There really is something special about old cars. I love the nostalgia!
Oh yes, love the old 50's cars! The one of your reflection is SO cool. And those Cadillacs are too funny! Great shots as always. :D

What a fun post I have to say the first shot is my fave! I just like the compositon of it. But the cadillac garden is fun!
Oh my goodness! I do not know what to say about that "car art." :)
No wonder you like Caddy's! :D
LOVE the second shot. Way cool.
I've seen the 'car art' before on tv... interesting to say the least!
Texas car art is my favorite!
Is that the same place the Duggars went on vacation to??
Love classic cars and art and glad you captured both, cool!
Thanks for stopping by and visiting my entry, really appreciated and glad you liked them.
These are some fantastic finds!
Love the car ranch pics - so fun!
Wow, those are very cool cars!!!!
How very cool, Michelle. I love your reflection in the shiny bumper. So cute. As ALWAYS, gorgeous photos. Hope your road trip was great. How is the kitchen coming along?
Hugs to you,
Genny
I love seeing vintage cars... they remind me of my grandfather's car. I used to lie down in the backseat and look up as the electric cables whiz past. :)
Super cool shots. I love the blue on that Cadillac. You've been a busy traveler!
FAB photos and I hope (I'm sure you did) had a great vacation!!
I love the crome on the old cars - makes for great photos!
so cool! I love old cadillacs too! And that last shot is way cool!
These are fantastic!!
And I love how your reflection appears multiple times in the blue car photo! Really neat!
And those old cars just have such personality.
Beautiful! I have fond memories of visiting Cadillac Ranch on a cross-country road trip with my dad and sister. Just love your shots!
Wow! Beautiful pictures!
Wow! Beautiful pictures!
I've driven a few cars I thought were better suited to being buried than being driven!
No way about those cars as art! Bet that must have been quite a sight. My dad is totally into old cars. He has a few that he shows and they are always shiny. :)
I love older cars!
Those half buried ones are so cool!
I love the Cadillac ranch, wonder if our names have been painted over already, I'm sure they have, lol. Old cars make me think of my grandpa and my dad, they worked on Model Ts and As when I was a kid. :0)
Beautiful shots!
That (the buried cars) would be so neat to see in person! How cool! (And funny!!)
Great pictures!
