WW - Really?

As we relaxed at the La Quinta Spa and Resort this weekend, I sat down and pondered this question........

Is this really the best place for a telephone?

Can you imagine the infestation of filth on that thing? I would NEVER put that on my face.

I have often wondered who had phone calls that were THAT important…

This has always puzzled me to too. Does anyone really want to talk to someone who is in the bathroom? Nope!

Sure if you fall off then how else would you call for help? Or if you get hungry how else would be order a pizza?

What does it say to the person that you are talking to? "I can only fit you in on the pot?"

LOL -- I don't think I'd want to be receiving calls in that particular room!

Haha. Maybe some people get their best ideas while doing their business and have to share it with others LOL.

Hahaha. Well, I can't tell you how many times I've been talking to someone on the telephone and I hear a flush. With cell phones, I think everyone does it, unfortunately. And even more disturbing, I've been in the ladies' bathroom before when the woman next to me was on the phone. I usually flush as often and loudly as possible when I hear that!

With Madaline the only time I get privacy anymore is in the bathroom - but, even so, I usually enjoy the 30 seconds of quiet - and would not want to waste it on the phone.

Can you imagine how many times it's fallen or been put in that toilet? EWW!

The sad thing is, I know people who have admitted using it! While doing their buisness!

Actually, many of the hotels that we stayed at had a phone in the bathroom... Hmm, maybe businesspeople like to multi-task? ;p

I wouldn't want to be on the other end of that call. Icky icky!

I often wondered why hotels put phones in bathrooms... near a vanity I GUESS I can see. But specifically next to the toilet? Just too many things wrong with that.

lol! Unfortunately I know a few people who would actually use that!

La Quinta? I think I went there as a kid. And I'm serious...I might've even stayed there because I have memories of thinking it was the COOLEST thing to have a phone in there...lol!

That hilarious! But, the real question should be - who still has a phone like that???

LOL, it's all about multi-tasking!

SERIOUSLY..........there was a phone by the toilet in our hotel room this weekend too. WHY?????????:)

well, it IS a good way to make use of your down time!

Great. Another reason for me to scream "Don't you dare touch that!" to my kids. As if I need one.

That phone looks to old to have a mute button, which it would definitely need. And don't you think this would be the perfect time to call all those telemarketers that drive us nuts!

Very, very good question!

Well, if you run out of toilet paper, you might change your mind!

It is if you run out of TP and need it fast! My inlaws have one in their bathroom. Weird.

I've never understood why there would be the need for a phone in the bathroom...

I'm just going to admit that I have to potty sometimes while on my cordless. And I can't quite cut the conversation off. So I talk and potty. And as long as the person on the other end doesn't hear the tinkle we're all good. lol
I can't belive I admited that!

"Um, hi mom (tinkle tinkle)what's that? oh, I'm just washing my hands...yeah...my hands..."

Classy.

Funny, we did build one into our master bath, lol. Who wants to have to jump up from there to dart to the phone, lol.

Nothing says "I love you" more than hearing the toilet flush while you are talking to someone on the phone, right?
