It took a little longer than I expected to get these pictures up, but here are the glass tile pendant necklaces I recently made.
I have been drooling over the scrabble and glass tile necklaces on Etsy for some time now!
They looked like they would be fun to make, but I was a little intimidated trying to figure out which supplies I needed to buy to make my own.
After a little searching I found a seller, Sun and Moon, on Etsy that was selling the small started kits I was looking for.
When I got the kits I ordered I couldn't wait to get started.
(Doesn't the glass tile look yummy?)
I made each of the girls their own tile from scrapbook paper of their choice.
Reid picked the brown on tourqouise paper (that I love).
Yes, it is off center on purpose!
Kate picked something pink and girlie!
What I loved about Kate's choice was that her paper was double sided so the back of the pendant ended up looking just as pretty as the front side.
The kits that Sun and Moon sell come with everything you need to complete 5 glass tile pendants (she even sends everything in a cool tin that you could use to gift one of the pendants to a friend).
She also emails complete color instructions on how to make the pendants.
The directions were easy to follow but as with most projects, the second pendant I made was easier and looked just a tad bit better than the first. I'm sure the third one will be even better.
I have no connection to this seller on Etsy, but if you want to give making glass tile pendants a try her kits are an easy way to get started.
And I am a big supporter of buying from artists on Etsy.

Those are awesome! Can you make me one? Oh well, I guess that is why they have Esty stores.
Oh so pretty. I love them. Thanks for the tip :D
Is there no end to your talents? They turned out beautifully!
Those are beautiful. I just saw some of those at the arts and crafts show I went to this weekend. They also had the scrabble tile and domino necklaces!
(I play along at WW too!!)
I love those pendants!!! you did a GREAT job! thanks for stopping by my blog, and the kind words!
Those are beautiful!! I got a kit to make soft almost acrylic ones for pics...is that the same thing? Could you put a pic in the glass ones?
Oh my .... they both turned out so darn beautiful! I'd be tempted to try it...but I know me and my lack of crafty skills...it would be a disaster!
Wow, how do you do that. That is super cool. As for WW, it's sad I actually have had to refrain from WW each week because i had less time but when I did WW I got more visitors (cuz Angie's the bombdiggity) and then would have to visit more to reciprocate. But I need to get back into it.
i like! :D i think i might be making some of those. :D
Those are really pretty! I love those!
Oooh! Those came out fantastic! Is there anything you can't make?

These necklaces are SO cute! Love the uniqueness:)
How fun! So colorful and pretty!
I am making scrabble tile pendants for all my nieces for Christmas this year! I hope they turn out that cute!
What fun! I think the glass tile jewelry is beautiful and would love to hop on board sometime. How difficult is it to work with?
Those are really pretty. I like the girly one a lot, because I'm into the bright pinkness :-) I think the off centeredness on Reid's was a nice touch, too.
Love the look of these! I may have to pick up a kit myself and play around. Thanks for sharing your experience with them and providing the inspiration to try something new!
Those are so cute!
Awesome looking and GREAT pics!!!!!
Since I have no patience to do those.... maybe you should give some away? ;) ;)

Seriously, great job!
I love these, thanks for sharing. I'm going to check them out. You did a great job on both, they're beautiful!
Just had to come back and tell ya ... I bought a kit. If they turn out, I'll do a blog post. Thanks for sharing this with us all!
Ok, these are oh-so-fun and easy to make! I've made two pendants -- tonight I went to Hobby Lobby to find some scrapbook paper that will work better than what I have on hand. I can't wait to make the remaining three -- I'm going to give my mom and DIL a tutorial when I visit them in OH in September - should be fun!
Thanks for sharing this, really... you got me back into my crafty side. :)
