Scavenger Hunt Sunday

1. Against the Light

This was probably the worst week for an against the light shot because the marine layer has been super thick in the morning and evening all this week.  The sun was barely peeking through when I captured this shot.

2. Buttons

We picked up this large tin of buttons at an estate sale.  Many of the buttons appear to have been removed from an old piece of clothing as they still have either thread or pieces of cloth still attached.  They are sitting waiting for me to use them....but right now I am happy to just run my fingers through them.

3. Frame within a Frame

I downloaded my pictures this evening and realized that I forgot to take a frame with in a frame shot.  So I had to pull a shot from a couple of weeks ago.  This was taken at the San Diego Convention Center.

4. Best part of my day

Get ready for some spray "cheese" because the best part of my day is when I am photographing my girls having fun.

5. Ink

I am always impressed by artist who use spray paint as their medium.  I was shooting this rather large and vibrant mural down in Ocean Beach when one of the employees from the store came out and asked me if I wanted to see more.  He unlocked the gate and invited me into the side lot of the business.

For just a split second I imagined myself in one of those horror flicks when everyone is yelling at the dumb chick not to walk into woods alone because the scary guy with the mask was waiting to cut her into a million pieces.

Thankfully he wasn't a serial killer........just the young webmaster of Aerosolarts wanting to show off more of their work.

I agree wit Buckeroomama - I like them all - but most of it the "against the light shot" and the procession of it. I´m so glad you are back
You´ve never eaten in Ihop? Doesn´t matter - you´re not missing much - it isn´t worth doing.

It was a interestin experience but it isn´t my way of breakfast or eating generally.

I like the vintage look you gave to your photos in this series and chuckled at your "serial killer" story. I had a similar experience on my road trip last month.

Hey Michelle - great week! Your against the light is perfection. My great grandmother used to take all the buttons off of her clothing when they were old and the clothing was cut and turned into rags. I think it was from living through the Depression. I would love to see those buttons in real life they could tell quite a story. Again it is always a pleasure seeing your posts come through on my reader. They always make me smile :) Take care!

I don't know if Jim remembers, but our grandmother used to have a container full of buttons. I got custody of them when she passed away.
