Good bye 1980's oven that after a year of using a chopstick to get you to light has finally bit the dust.
Goodbye 15 year old KitchenAid fridge. Despite your cosmetic issues due to your old age, you are still going strong and while you must leave, we will replace you with a shiny new big sister.
Goodbye impossible to clean cooktop with your melted knobs.
Goodbye 1959 kitchen cabinets. Remember when I spent nearly two months painting you? I do! Reid was 3 and Kate was only a few months old. What was I thinking???
Goodbye ugly kitchen!
You served us well, but it is time to GO!
Hopefully in a couple of months I will have a new kitchen to show off.

Oh gosh you have tile countertops.. can I tell you how much I have hated out rental's tile?? A LOT!
The new house has corian.. which I can deal with, but the color is way too dark..

but, what I REALLY covet is your dishwasher...
my dishwasher, that has duck tape on the bottom of the tub; that leaves grit in and out of our cups; that has gross silt behind the utensil basket which I wash out weekly even though it could stand to happen daily; that is used once, sometimes twice daily, that dishwasher...
the good news- in reality I have 5 very capable dish-washers, and I'll be thankful for that...

Congratulations on your upcoming new kitchen. It seems that is where everyone always wants to hang out so you might as well love it, right? We got a new refrigerator and washing machine in November and it's such a nice treat to have new, gorgeous and non-leaking appliances. Looking forward to seeing your new kitchen pictures.
