When I had braces I never minded the orthodontist. I chewed gum and ate corn on the cob, apples, etc. I did ok and didn't sacrifice. But kids: always obey the orthodontist! lol
Oh, good luck to you. I made my parents crazy by constantly pulling out the wires and needing emergency trips to the dentist. I don't know how they didn't kill me!!
I was lucky enough to not need braces growing up. I had friends who had them, though, and it was always something. Whether they couldn't eat or drink something, or they had to go get the wires messed with. Yuck! I count myself lucky to have been able to bypass those on my teeth. She is lovely, by the way.
my kids never followed the rules, we are now out of braces so i guess it didn't matter so much. her braces look GREAT! what a pretty daughter you have!
Thought I would go nuts keeping up with the braces on our two girls and the orthodontist. Sometimes they just have to cheat a little and hope for the best!
funny we post on braces the same day!! mine didn't follow the rules either...I mean really...no chewing candy for 3-4 years (my kids were in braces a LONG time)? pretty unreasonable if you ask me. And even though we broke our share of wires, their smiles still came out beautiful!! :)
Welcome to my blog! I started blogging in 2008 as a way to keep my friends and family updated on what we have been up to out here on the left coast.
Since then things here on One Crafty Mama have slowly morphed into the sharing crafts, sometimes recipes and my love for all things photography.
So pull up a keyboard and hang out awhile.

Two years is a long time to go without corn on the cob. It's really rather cruel of orthodontists to try to keep it away. :)
if dentists had their way all you can eat/drink is water!
LOL! I love it.
I remembering wearing braces! Two years seem like such a long time when your very young!

That's the problem with braces, you can't eat any of those fun foods!

Which one of my boys is she gonna marry? I would love a red headed grandbaby in about 16 years....
Did she just get braces? She's so pretty!
Would you believe I had braces when I was 24? I actually paid for them myself because my parents could never afford it!
I remember the day that they came off! It was heaven!
I'd get braces today if I could. And I don't even like rock candy so there.
