Sunday Stuff

Have I ever mentioned that I am the back stage director for the School Performance at my daughters Elementary School?  Well, if I haven't I am now.

The Performance isn't until mid May, but as you can imagine I am swamped with a lot of preparation for the big week (we have 4 shows).

Costumes, props, figuring out stage directions and lighting............it's enough to make my heart palpitate.  And if this isn't enough, I also need to complete the yearbook for the 5th graders (continue to take pictures for the yearbook), plan Girl scout meetings and a camping trip and deal with everyday life.

So if I am not around a lot in the blogosphere you will know why.  I hate missing out on anything so I will make sure to visit all my favorites.

In the meantime, I took a few minutes today to do something crafty.  I needed a Congratulations card, so after seeing this adorable card on Crafty Makes I felt inspired and created this card.

Kim's card is way more adorable than mine, but I'm happy with the way my imitation came out!  If you like making cards jump on over to Kim's blog, Crafty Makes.  You are sure to find something that will bring you inspiration.

Materials for the card:
Paper & Fibers: Sugared by Basic Grey
Star: Nestibilities
Ink: Rangers Vintage photo

Hi! I was thinking that The Performance was coming up soon. (note- always capital letters when refering to The Performance!) :-)
Be still, your heart. You are a pro!
AND...
the card is terrific. You do one fine job of living up to the title of One Crafty Mama!
Later, amiga

Wow, you are busy!

I love the card.. this type of handmade artistry is SO much more meaningful. And yet.. I have a major dearth of talent in this area.

Thanks for the ideas! Good luck with the production!

Ok, you're making me twitch when I read everything you have to do in the next few months... guess it's a sympathy twitch or something like that. Oh, and I LOVE your card, that is soooo cool!! I'll have to jump over to Kim's blog and check it all out.

The card looks great! There's something special about getting a handmade card rather than a cookie cutter one from a store.
