I Hit a speed bump!

Last Wednesday I shared with you what my heart looks like (in case you are new, it was my girls). Today I present you with a picture of what my gut looks like!

Yes, those are speed bumps and yes, they are lining my mid section.  I got on the scale this morning and nearly shat a brick.

Of course, I didn't need to get on the scale to tell me that I am over weight.  The muffin top hanging over my jeans was screaming "fat ass, stop eating cookies" loud and clear.

So today I vowed to go back to eating a more healthy diet and getting into the gym no matter how busy I am.

That meant heading to the gym for the first time in forever.  I'll admit that I was a little worried that my membership was going to burst into flames when I swiped it through the entrance gate. I heard they do that when you don't use them enough.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the cross training room had some new treadmills waiting for me to try out.   Really fancy ones with an ipod hook up and a cool touch screen complete with a little virtual track so you can watch your progress.  Why didn't they tell me they put those in?  I'm sure I would have come in more if I would have known!

So here is getting back into shape.....and to all of those women who managed to maintain your girlish figure after giving birth........I admire you.  For those of you who are a fluffier version of your former self.......I love you the best.  Wanna join me at the gym?  We can be fluffy together.

We're planning on joining a club soon-- if it was the same one as yours, we could be exercise buddies! But alas, different states and all that...
Anyway....let us know your progress...even if it is how often you hit the club...that will be good motivation for you :-).

Congratulations on trying to get healthy! I know it can be tough to get on the treadmill or whatever torture, I mean, exercise device you use (hence why I don't do anything but walk).

The last time I went to my gym (almost a year ago...) they had new elliptical trainers with iPod connectors and TVs. How crazy is that?!

I just started going back to the gym about a month ago....I am definitely feeling the muffin top!
It does feel good to exercise and I'm hoping to be a little happier with myself by summer. Good luck on your end!

Ugh. I am fluffy since I moved to KS last year. And I was in tip top shape 2.5 years ago. Size 2, can you believe it? Now, I'm cramming into a size 6 or 8 (I'm only 5'2", yeah, vertically challenged too!)

I keep saying I'm going to start working out and eating right, but it just hasn't got into gear yet.

Let me finish my lil Hostess donettes and my coffee, then maybe I'll put my sweats on and go work out on my weight equipment in our shop... yeah, I know. I even have my own STUFF to work out with, and I'm still not doing it. ~sigh~

GOOD LUCK to you for gettin' on with it girl! :-)

Oh I hear you there Michelle. As much as I loved being in Hawaii, looking at those tan skinny bodies wasn't nice. I got on my elliptical this morning and did 20 minutes. It's a start. I wish we lived closer, because I would love to do the gym with you!!! I'm going back to mine as well. :)

I want to go to the gym but the kids get in the way. So I will stay fluffy for a little long until school gives me some much needed free time. ;)

Well, I'm more doughy than fluffy but I keep saying I will do better and I do ... for two weeks ... then I fall apart again. Ugh.
